Pirate Out of Water Outdoor Exhibit

Welcome to the 2021 Pirate Out of Water Outdoor Exhibit sponsored by the Fairport Harbor Tourism Council.   This is the fourth year for the Art Exhibit.  The Exhibit can be viewed from Sunrise to Sunset daily through September 19th. The exhibit includes 48. colorful works of art that brighten our downtown shopping district on High and Third Street.   Each pirate has a QR code on the information plaque that will direct you to the FHTC website with information about each pirate.    The information plaque will have a number to locate that Artists information.  (Example: #1, #2, #3)

Bio & Info:               My first thought when starting was “oh my goodness this looks like George

Washington”, when sketching it out.  After a couple of days, it finally came

Together.  I am in 6th grade remote learning at Lamuth Middle School.  I had

a lot of fun doing this pirate!  I hope you like my pirate.  I worked very hard                                      on it!  I was inspired by a show called NCIS and named my pirate Timothy

(captain) McGee because a character is named that and I thought it would

be cool.  I hope you like my pirate(again)! Thank you, Elyse Champa.

Bio & Info:               Annabelle lives in Fairport Harbor.  She loves to do arts and crafts with her

her great grandma.  Annabelle was inspired by pandas which aren’t always

cute they can be mean.  The S. China sea has pirates.

Bio/Info:                   Are you ready to enjoy a day at our Lake Erie beaches?  Nothing ruins a

Beautiful day at the beach like trash and litter in the sand.  Much of the l                                          litter found in the lake and on the beach may have washed there with

stormwater, since stormwater is not treated at a wastewater treatment

plant.  Anything that enters a storm drain or road ditch, will wash directly

to our rivers and Lake Erie.   We all need to do our part to keep plastics

out of Lake Erie and keep stormwater clean!  Please remember to recycle
wastes when you can and put your trash where it belongs.
